It’s no secret that Gen Z is the first generation to grow up fully online, and their research and booking behavior is poised to revolutionize the travel industry as they gradually become the largest traveler demographic.
In fact, a recent report published by American Express has revealed that 79% of Gen Z and millennial respondents would agree that they see leisure travel as an important budget priority, and 84% would rather take a dream vacation than purchase a new luxury item.
So given the rapidly expanding rate of this relatively new traveler group, let’s take a closer look at their characteristics and to get an understanding of how to design travel experiences successfully and market to them.
